Origin Story: Why I Built Lawyer Listed
My name is Casey Walters, founder of Lawyer Listed. I match criminal defendants with elite lawyers tailored to their case and preferences.
Living in the Valley, we have a shared experience – you’ve seen them: the billboards and bus ads promising the “best” legal defense, featuring a lawyer you’ll likely never meet even if you were to call the accompanying phone number. Who I Am
I started my legal career as a prosecutor where I learned how the state builds and wins cases. I became very good at implementing the strategies and the tactics needed to secure a conviction. I later flipped the script and used those same strategies and tactics as a defense attorney.
I have been a part of thousands of criminal cases, which has given me a rare and valuable insight: I know what separates an average criminal lawyer from a truly exceptional one. On top of that, I know a lot of criminal defense attorneys, prosecutors, and judges who I can contact to vet lawyers I don’t know personally.
This insight and network did little good, except the few times I had friends or family who found themselves in trouble with the law. I wanted to figure out how to offer the benefits of what and who I know on a mass scale – enter Lawyer Listed!
